You Are Invited — Historic Marker Dedication
Please join us as we celebrate a historic moment for Glamorgan Castle and our community!
The final piece of our formal America 250 activities will conclude on Sunday, October 25 3:00 PM as we dedicate the Ohio State Historic Marker for Col. Morgan and Glamorgan Castle.
Thanks to two generous grants from The Pomeroy Foundation and Visit Canton / ArtsinStark, no funds from the Historical Society or Castle Crusaders were used for the marker.
About the Marker:
The Alliance Historical Society worked with the late Art Garnes and Ohio History Connection to research and write the text for the marker. One side pays tribute to Col. William H. Morgan, the builder and owner of Glamorgan, and the opposite side celebrates the history of the Castle itself.
We are honored that Stacia Kuceyeski from Ohio History Connection will be on hand to help with the celebratory dedication.
All are invited to attend the unveiling. We hope you will join us for this proud moment in Alliance history as we honor Col. Morgan, Art Garnes’ work to preserve his story, and 250 years of American history.

Our 1st ever Christmas With A Cause At Glamorgan Castle
December 5, 12, 13, 19, 2026 1-4 PM
We are inviting 6 local nonprofits to each decorate a room in the Castle for the holiday season. The nonprofits are competing for prize money to support their work in our community!

Tours
History
Touring Glamorgan Castle
In 2024, The Castle Crusaders will welcome visitors for guided tours of all four floors every Friday.
The first tour is at 1:00 and another identical tour is at 2:00.
Self-guided tours are available on the second Saturday and Sunday of the month and at other times. Please check our Facebook page and online tour calendar for details.
The admission is $10 per person, cash, check, or charge when paying in person, children 12 and under free.
100% of the donations go towards renovation of the Castle.
The tour takes one hour and there are many steps, it is not yet handicap accessible.
No advance reservations are required but recommended.
Groups of 10 or more may tour on weekdays or evenings and need to make arrangements well in advance. Please call or text 330-238-8787 and leave a message.
Events and Weddings at Glamorgan
Glamorgan Castle is available for wedding ceremonies, photo sessions, and special events.

Castle Crusaders is the nonprofit arm of Glamorgan Castle. We are dedicated to assisting the Alliance City Schools Board of Education in maintaining the historical integrity of Glamorgan Castle. We give tours, we raise funds, we research, we run programs, we help to complete renovations in the building. And, we need people! Would you like to be a Castle Crusader too?
